Fallopian
The fallopian tube, named after Gabrielle Fallopio (1523-62), Italian surgeon and physician, is where each potential human life starts. You, me, everyone on this planet, yet 75% of these little cluster of cells never make it into the world. Just the fact that we survive to be born makes the rest of us very special.
The raw images that form the basis of this exhibition were collected by passing a CD round a laboratory and asking scientists to donate an image. The images selected for this exhibition have been edited and manipulated. All relate to some aspect of the fallopian tube.
